Contact your care team right away if you experience dizziness, feeling faint or lightheaded, or blurry vision.• Notes for Professionals: Advise patients to avoid alcohol while taking thiazide diuretics. Ingesting alcohol can increase the risk for orthostatic hypotension when taking a thiazide diuretic.
