    Notes for Consumers: Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication. Drinking alcohol while taking this medication can cause serious side effects, such as central nervous system (CNS) depression, and can increase the risk of falling. Call emergency services right away if you experience symptoms of CNS depression: slow or shallow breathing, shortness of breath, feeling faint, dizziness, confusion, trouble staying awake.
    Notes for Professionals: Advise patients to avoid alcohol consumption while taking CNS depressants. Alcohol consumption may result in additive CNS depression.

    Notes for Consumers: These agents may be taken together with close supervision from your prescriber. Taking these drugs together could result in serious side effects such as mood changes; nausea, vomiting; dizziness; feeling faint or lightheaded, falls; unusually weak or tired; high blood pressure; skin changes; weight loss or gain. Report any of these effects immediately should they occur.
    Notes for Professionals: Consumption of grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking mometasone may increase systemic exposure to mometasone, increasing the risk of corticosteroid-related adverse events. Avoid consistent consumption of grapefruit and its juice while on mometasone therapy; those who do consume grapefruit regularly should be monitored closely for hypercorticism and adrenal suppression. Mometasone is a CYP3A4 substrate and grapefruit is a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor.
