DICLOFENAC EPOLAMINE (Generic for FLECTOR) Lifestyle Interactions

  • Siponimod 2mg, Oral tablet

    Interaction: Grapefruit juice
    Severity: Major
Notes for Consumers: Do not eat or drink Grapefruit or Grapefruit juice with Siponimod without approval from your prescriber. Side effects from Siponimod may get worse if you eat or drink Grapefruit or Grapefruit juice. Discuss any new or worsening side effects, such as severe headache, sudden confusion, changes in vision, shortness of breath, dizziness, unusually slow heartbeat (example: less than 60 beats per minute), dark yellow or brown urine, general ill feeling or flu-like symptoms, light-colored stools, loss of appetite, nausea, right upper belly pain, unusually weak or tired, or yellowing of the eyes or skin, with your health care provider.
Notes for Professionals: Advise patients to avoid the concomitant use of siponimod and grapefruit juice due to a significant increase in siponimod exposure. Siponimod is a CYP2C9 and CYP3A4 substrate; grapefruit juice is a moderate CYP2C9/strong CYP3A4 dual inhibitor. Coadministration with a moderate CYP2C9/CYP3A4 dual inhibitor led to a 2-fold increase in the exposure of siponimod.
