It is possible that side effects, such as a reduced number of red blood cells, may develop if these drugs are given together. Symptoms may include being tired or weak, dizziness, or cold hands or feet. If you notice any new or worsening side effects, contact your prescriber immediately.• Notes for Professionals: Taking velpatasvir with grapefruit juice may increase the plasma concentrations of velpatasvir, potentially resulting in adverse events. Velpatasvir is a substrate of the drug transporter P-glycoprotein (P-gp); grapefruit is an inhibitor of P-gp. Grapefruit is also an inhibitor of the hepatic enzyme CYP3A4. Velpatasvir is a CYP3A4 substrate.
