    Notes for Consumers: Do not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit-containing foods while taking Finerenone. Side effects from Finerenone may get worse. Contact your prescriber immediately if you experience muscle weakness; chest pain; or fast, irregular heartbeat.
    Notes for Professionals: Advise patients to avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice during finerenone treatment due to the risk of increased finerenone exposure and adverse reactions. Finerenone is a CYP3A substrate and grapefruit juice is a strong CYP3A inhibitor. Coadministration with another strong CYP3A inhibitor increased overall exposure to finerenone by more than 400%.
