LEUCOVORIN (loo koe VOR in) prevents side effects from certain medications, such as methotrexate. It works by increasing folate levels. This helps protect healthy cells in your body. It may also be used to treat anemia caused by low levels of folate. It can also be used with fluorouracil, a type of chemotherapy, to treat colorectal cancer. It works by increasing the effects of fluorouracil in the body.

    Interaction: Milk Containing Products

    Notes for Consumers: Do not drink milk or products that contain milk while taking this medication. When used together, your medication may not work as well for you. Talk with your care team if you feel your medication is no longer working well.
    Notes for Professionals: Advise patients to avoid taking flecainide with milk or products that contain milk. For infants, a flecainide dosage adjustment and additional therapeutic drug concentration monitoring may be required if milk is added or removed from their diet. Milk may inhibit the oral absorption of flecainide and reduce overall flecainide exposure and efficacy.
