Taking these drugs together could result in serious side effects such as mood changes; nausea, vomiting; dizziness; feeling faint or lightheaded, falls; unusually weak or tired; high blood pressure; skin changes; weight loss or gain. Report any of these effects immediately should they occur.
    Notes for Professionals: Consumption of grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking mometasone may increase systemic exposure to mometasone, increasing the risk of corticosteroid-related adverse events. Avoid consistent consumption of grapefruit and its juice while on mometasone therapy; those who do consume grapefruit regularly should be monitored closely for hypercorticism and adrenal suppression. Mometasone is a CYP3A4 substrate and grapefruit is a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor.
