It can help your care team find the treatment option that works best for you. It works by making parts of the brain easier to view during imaging scans.
This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

This medication is injected into a vein. It is given by your care team in a hospital or clinic setting.
Talk to your care team about the use of this medication in children. Special care may be needed.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.

It is important to drink plenty of water before and after you receive this medication. Empty your bladder before your scan. Urinate often afterward. This helps reduce the amount of radiation your body is exposed to.
Do not breastfeed while taking this medication and for 24 hours after the last dose.
