MIXED GRASS POLLENS ALLERGEN EXTRACT (mikst gras POL enz AL er jen EK strakt) reduces allergy symptoms, such as sneezing, itching, or runny or stuffy nose from grass allergies. It works by exposing your immune system to small amounts of grass pollen. Do not use it to treat an allergic reaction.
This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

Take this medication by mouth. Take it as directed on the prescription label at the same time every day. Leave the tablet in the sealed pack until you are ready to take it. With dry hands, open the pack and gently remove the tablet. If the tablet breaks or crumbles, throw it away. Use a new tablet. Place the tablet under the tongue and allow it to dissolve for at least 1 minute. Then, swallow it. Do not cut, crush, or chew this medication.
Do not take this medication with food or water. Do not eat or drink for at least 5 minutes after taking the medication. Wash your hands after handling the tablet. Do not take it more often than directed. Do not stop taking except on your care team's advice.
A special MedGuide will be given to you by the pharmacist with each prescription and refill. Be sure to read this information carefully each time.
Talk to your care team about the use of this medication in children. While this medication may be prescribed for children as young as 5 years for selected conditions, precautions do apply.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.

Visit your care team for regular checks on your progress. Tell your care team if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse.
Your care team should prescribe auto-injectable epinephrine for you to keep at home for treating a severe allergic reaction if needed. Your care team will tell you how to use the auto-injectable epinephrine.
Some medications may make epinephrine not work as well or worsen side effects. Talk with your care team if you take any of these medications:
-Certain medications for blood pressure, heart disease, irregular heartbeat
-Certain medications for depression, anxiety, or mental health conditions
-Chlorpheniramine
-Diphenhydramine
-Diuretics
-Ergot alkaloids, such as dihydroergotamine, ergonovine, ergotamine, methylergonovine
-MAOIs, such as Carbex, Eldepryl, Marplan, Nardil, and Parnate
-Thyroid hormone

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses. If you miss more than one dose, contact your care team before restarting.

Side effects that you should report to your care team as soon as possible:
-Allergic reactions—skin rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
-Heartburn, pain or trouble swallowing, chest pain that does not go away or gets worse
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your care team if they continue or are bothersome):
-Burning or tingling of the tongue, mouth, throat, or face
-Irritation inside the mouth or throat
-Itching of the mouth, lips, tongue, or ears
-Mild swelling of the mouth, lips, tongue, or throat

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Store between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Keep this medication in the original container.
Get rid of any unused medication after the expiration date.
