ACOLTREMON (a KOL tre mon) treats the symptoms of dry eye disease. It works by increasing the amount of tears your eyes make.
This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

This medication is only for use in the eye. Use it as directed on the prescription label. Wash your hands before and after use. Tilt your head back slightly and pull your lower eyelid down with your index finger to form a pouch. Try not to touch the tip of the dropper or tube to your eye, fingertips, or other surfaces. Squeeze the prescribed number of drops into the pouch. Close your eyes gently to spread the drops. Keep using this medication unless your care team tells you to stop.
If you wear contact lenses, take them out before using this medication. Wait 15 minutes after using the medication before putting your lenses back in.
If you use other eye medications, wait 5 minutes between using each medication.
This medication comes with INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE. Ask your pharmacist for directions on how to use this medication. Read the information carefully. Talk to your pharmacist or care team if you have questions.
Talk to your care team about the use of this medication in children. Special care may be needed.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.

Interactions are not expected. Do not use any other eye products without talking to your care team.

Visit your care team for regular checks on your progress. Tell your care team if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse.

If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, use only that dose. Do not use double or extra doses.

Side effects that you should report to your care team as soon as possible:
-Allergic reactions—skin rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
-New or worsening eye pain, redness, irritation, or discharge
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report these to your care team if they continue or are bothersome):
-Burning or stinging of the eyes after use

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Store the unopened carton in the refrigerator. After opening the carton, this medication may be stored in the refrigerator or at room temperature up to 25 degrees C (77 degrees F). Keep unopened vials in the foil pouch. After opening the foil pouch, get rid of unused vials after 7 days or after they expire, whichever is first. If this medication is stored at room temperature, get rid of any unused medication after 30 days or after it expires, whichever is first.
To get rid of medications that are no longer needed or have expired:
-Take the medication to a take-back program. Check with your pharmacy or law enforcement to find a location.
-If you cannot return the medication, check the label or package insert to see if the medication should be thrown out in the garbage or flushed down the toilet. If you are not sure, ask your care team. If it is safe to put it in the trash, empty the medication out of the container. Mix it with cat litter, dirt, coffee grounds, or another unwanted substance. Seal the mixture in a bag or container. Put it in the trash.
